Tina's Bio

About me continued..

My professional experience has always focused on assisting others to succeed in the community. My employment includes working in community-based programs designed to assist adults diagnosed with mental illness. I was the program manager at a residential program for adults with a dual-diagnosis of substance abuse and mental illness, an apartment program in Albany, and a community residence in Dutchess County. In addition to case management, my responsibilities included supervising direct care staff. While employed at a non-profit agency that provided foster care, I was responsible for recruiting foster families, conducting the intensive home studies, and making recommendations for licensing. I also provided on-going training to licensed families who opened their homes to children in the foster care system.

When my children were born I was lucky enough to take an extended maternity leave, and during those years I worked part-time at several small businesses in our community. In 2010, I returned to Measurement Incorporated, a provider of program evaluation and school improvement services to schools and districts throughout the country.
